Day 1 –Arrival/Nairobi

Meet and greet at the JKIA airport by our representative upon arrival and transfer to a Hotel for overnight.

Day 2 –Nairobi/Amboseli

Pick up from your hotel after breakfast, and you drive south to Amboseli National reserve at the foot of snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, arriving in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive in the park.  Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp.

Day 3 –Amboseli National Park

The day was spent game viewing in the park with extensive morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at the lodge.

Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. It is situated close to Kenya. It is situated close to Kenya- Tanzania border, The Park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa (5,896m) whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days. Amboseli National Park is often referred to as “The home of Elephants’ some of the largest Elephant herds are found here. The Game Park also contains vast groups of Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Buffalos, Hippos and Antelopes. Also to be found in Amboseli are lions, leopards, Cheetahs, Rhinos and many species of plain game.

Day 4 –Amboseli/Nairobi

Morning game drive to further explore the park and after breakfast you drive to Nairobi with lunch enroute to arrive late in the afternoon. Drop off at a hotel for overnight.

Day 5 – Nairobi/Sweetwaters

Depart Nairobi in the morning after breakfast and drive to Mt Kenya driving through the lush green agricultural land where you pass through coffee and tea plantations. Arrive at the Tented Camp in time for lunch. Afternoon visit to the chimps sanctuary and a game drive around the Sweetwaters game sanctuary. Return to the Tented camp for Dinner and overnight.

Day 6 –Sweetwaters

You spend the days game viewing in this private sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya and visit the chimps. It is home to the Big 5: Rhino, among other game. The sanctuary is also home to hundreds of bird species including Saddlebill stock, hamerkop, spoonbill, ostrich, gineafowl, spurfowl and secretary bird. Dinner and overnight at the Tented Camp.

Day 7 –Sweetwaters/Lake Baringo

After breakfast, you proceed to Lake Baringo, is a fresh water lake and with its picturesque islands and encircling mountains is a spectacular sight, lunch enroute.The lake has a lot of fish and consequently many herons, cormorants and marabous can be found here. On Gibraltar Island, a birders’ paradise, are breeding more Goliath herons than anywhere else in East Africa. Bird walks and boat rides are the most popular activities around Lake Baringo but cultural tours to local villages can be arranged as well. Meals and overnight at Tumbili Cliff Lodge.

Day 8 –Baringo/Bogoria

Morning boat ride at the lake to see hippos and crocodiles and the amazing birdlife and after breakfast, you drive south to Lake Bogoria, a shallow soda lake set amidst beautiful scenery. Like other Kenyan soda lakes, it has no outlet and the intense evaporation leads to high levels of salt and minerals which the flamingoes love. Next to the lake are the amazing steaming hotsprings and geysers. Return to the lodge for overnight

Day 9 –Baringo/Nakuru

After breakfast, you proceed to Lake Nakuru National park arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the park where you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a sizeable number of the endangered rhinoceros and the Rothschild giraffe. Waterbucks as well as the predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of birdlife in and around the lake. Flamingoes are also plenty at the lake.Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp.

Day 10 – Nakuru/Masai Mara

After breakfast, you drive south through the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara to arrive in time for lunch, followed later by an early evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara Trails Camp

Day 11 & 12 -Explore Masai Mara

You spend the days exploring the park in search of the Big 5. Meals and overnight at the Tented camp.

The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to August. The reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park in the mornings an extra cost or in one of the afternoons, you also have an opportunity to visit an authentic Maasai village at an extra cost.

Day 13 -Masai Mara/Nairobi

After breakfast, you drive to Nairobi to arrive early afternoon. Drop off at a hotel to refresh.You later drive to Safari Park Hotel for dinner and the Safari Cats Dance Troupe show. Return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 14 – Departure

Transfer to the airport to catch your flight home.
