Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

You will be met at the airport by your transfer-driver and transferred to your hotel in the capital of Kenya, Nairobi. If time allows, you can either take your time to see Nairobi’s highlights or simply relax and unwind in the garden of your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Gracia Garden

Day 2: Nairobi to the foothills of Mt. Kenya

Depart Nairobi in the morning with your driver-guide and drive directly to your secluded and gorgeous lodge in the foothills of Mt. Kenya. You will walk on old paths through the local rainforest and with a little luck you can also observe the forest elephants living here or you can also see from the veranda of your lodge in the evening how the elephants stride towards the rainforest. A visit to a nearby tea farm is also planned, so that you can also learn something about the daily life of the “normal” Kenyans, among other things. Dinner and overnight at Castle Forest Lodge

Day 3: Mt. Kenya – Meru National Park

After breakfast, you proceed to the Meru National Park on the East of Mt. Kenya. Here, you will experience gallery forests, savannahs and swamps, which are home to a large variety of local animals. It was also here that George Adamson released the infamous lioness “Elsa” back into the wild. The true movie “Born Free” showed the life and fate of this lioness, whose offspring you can observe during your game drives in the wilderness. Dinner and overnight at Ikweta Tented Camp

Day 4: Meru National park

You spend the day game viewing in the park to discover and observe the multitude of animals living here. In addition to lions, you get to see the zebras and giraffes, elephants and buffalo. Dinner and overnight at the Tented Camp

Day 5:  Meru National Park – Samburu National Reserve

You travel further north to the Samburu National Reserve, where a diverse and exciting wildlife awaits you. Here, the landscape consists of hills, gallery forests and semi-desert steppes. You get to observe the native animals such as various species of Zebra and Giraffe, which you will not find elsewhere in Africa, Cheetahs, Lions, Elephants. Dinner and overnight atSamburu SopaLodge

Day 6: Samburu National Reserve

You spend the day game viewing in the Samburu National Reserve and experience the diversity of wildlife living here in the lonely wilderness of this National Reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge. 

Day 7: Samburu– Sandai

After breakfast, you drive south to a small farm north of the Aberdares. Here you can relax and unwind, take a nature walk with a guide from the farm, or explore the Solio Conservation Area, one of the most important areas in Kenya for the protection of white and black rhino, which you will see and experience here in large numbers. Dinner and overnight at Sandai Farm.

Day 8: Sandai – Nairobi

You return to the capital of Kenya, Nairobi after your safari into unexplored Kenya. From here, your holiday ends or take the afternoon Express train or flight to Mombasa and relax on the beaches of the Indian Ocean for a few more days. The safari can also be extended to the Southern parks, if you have more safari days.
